Jerome Paul Chevalier, 89, of Tyngsboro, died Saturday March 10, 2018 at the Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell.
He was married to the late Beulah (Sturtevant) Chevalier, who died on March 26, 2016.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Edward and Yvonne Chevalier. He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1946 and attended some college classes at Lowell Tech.
He proudly served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and afterwards in the US Air Force.
Jerome worked at Fletchers Quarry in Westford for over 18 years as a stone cutter. He retired as a self-employed general contractor after years of remodeling houses.
He loved to fly. He owned his own plane and flew out of Nashua.
He is survived by his sons and a daughter in law, Barry and his wife, Patricia Chevalier of Dracut, MA, and Steven Chevalier and his companion, Jude McElroy of Asheville, NC; a brother, Ray Chevalier of Tyngsboro; a sister, Jeannette Dumont of Tyngsboro; five grandchildren, Tammy Dautieul, Kelly Linehan, and Christopher, Erik and Amanda Chevalier; five great grandchildren; a great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
He was the grandfather of the late Barry Chevalier Jr. who died March 10, 2016.
