Joana F. Roddy, age 85, of North Chelmsford, MA, passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2023, at Sunny Acres Nursing Home.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arthur and Stasia (Baron) Pereira, her loving husband, Thomas F. Roddy, and her sister, Barbara Johnson.
Joana’s memory will be embraced by her loving family including two children, Anthony Roddy, and his wife, Meredith, of Downington, PA, and Geralyn Roddy and her husband, Frank Keller, of North Chelmsford, Massachusetts; one adored grandson, Jacob Roddy; her eldest niece, Keleigh Johnson of Raymond, NH; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born and raised in Lowell, MA, Joana attended Lowell High School and subsequently settled in North Chelmsford in 2005.
Joana began a long and fulfilling career at Raytheon Technologies in S. Lowell/Andover and was a foster grandparent for Billerica Public Schools. She was a communicant of St. John’s Church and formerly St. Anthony’s Church.
Joana enjoyed word puzzles, walking, jogging, traveling, and spending time with family, especially her grandson. Joana’s fondest role in life was that of a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother.
FUNERAL HOME
Visiting hours Monday 10AM-11AM with the Funeral at 11AM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD. Burial at a later date in St. Patrick Cemetery, Lowell. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Make a Wish Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
