TO all of Deacon John’s family…words cannot express my shock at his passing. I had the pleasure of working with him at St John XXIII parish serving with him on the Pastoral Council. He was always willing and able to serve in any capacity asked. I will miss his smile and contagious sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. I feel very privileged to call him a friend

To Ellen and family – John will be sorely missed. He had a passionate devotion to his church and Lord. My husband John and I enjoyed his homilies and working with him (even if only occasionally) with Baptism. Our condolences and prayers are with you all.

I never saw John again after we graduated from Regis. But I remember him from those high school days well. His enthusiastic response to The Sound of Music when our freshman class attended the musical remains vivid in my mind.
Not many of our class served in Vietnam, let alone as a Ranger. As a Marine officer veteran of that conflict, John’s service inspires my deepest admiration.
Rest of his bones and soul’s delivery.

Ellen and Family,
We were surprised and saddened to hear of John’s passing on Easter Sunday. John was such a strong Christian presence in the Saint Mary’s
Saint Helena’s community. His faith and enthusiasm were inspirational. We’re glad to have seen him a couple of summer’s back at Fr. Paul
