Live Streaming Funeral Home And Cremations Westford MAJohn Harold LaRock passed away on Saturday, April 10th at Massachusetts General Hospital after a brief illness.  John was born on November 1, 1960, the oldest son of the late Harold F. and Rita C. (Bourque) LaRock.  John lived in Lowell for his entire life.  John was a very strong man with an enormous heart, love for all, who never met a stranger.  He will be remembered for his devotion to family, staunch loyalty to his friends, incredible sense of humor and adventure, and his love of home and cooking.  He touched many lives and welcomed all family and friends to many holidays and get-togethers where he was the chief cook.  John loved to organize events such as group fishing adventures or Florida trips to see the Patriots.  He loved the summers and spending time in the family pool with his family and friends.  His daughter Kaitlyn, was his pride and joy and the joy doubled when Kaitlyn blessed him with a beautiful grandson, Charlie.  From heaven, John welcomed his first granddaughter into the world, Caragh John Marie Latino on April 15, 2021.

John was the beloved husband of Deborah Dowling, who referred to him always as “my hunny”, he was the loving father of his daughter and son-in-law Kaitlyn and John Latino of Derry, NH, and the light of his life, his grandson, Charles Harold Latino, and Caragh John Marie Latino.  John is survived by six siblings and in-laws who will miss him tremendously, Celeste LaRock and her husband Larry Wright of Amesbury, MA, Lois LaRock of Guanajuato, Mexico, Joan Carney and her partner Steve Chamberlin of Sunderland, MA, Lisa Crowley and her husband “Don Don” of Hudson, NH, Brian LaRock and his wife Dede of Yonkers, NY, and Peter LaRock and his wife Lisa of Seabrook Beach, NH.

John was a very special uncle and shared a unique and special relationship with his many nieces and nephews who adored him and loved spending time with him, Trevor Wright, David Carney and his wife Lisa, Brian Carney and his partner Matt Cohan, Stephen Crowley and his wife Shannon, Shane Crowley and his wife Laura, Jenna Vigars and her husband Louie, Zachary, Zoe and Eliza LaRock, Bobby Nadeau and Breann Buell and her husband Jake.

John is also survived by Debbie’s loving and very supportive family, his father and mother in law John and Joan Dowling, his sisters in law and brothers in law, Colleen and Dennis Cormier, Cheryl and Artie Calavritinos and his nephew Brandon and niece, Karlee Calavritinos, all of Lowell, MA.

John was an active member of the Plumber Union Local 12, he worked in multiple jobs in Boston and Duck Island Water Treatment Plant.  For more than 24 years he worked as a Plumber for the Lowell Housing Authority.  John was also a member of the Lowell Firefighters Club for many years.

John has been blessed by a very wide circle of friends who will miss him dearly, including Jimmy the Greek, Gene Finn, Dennis Mercier and Mike Zanoli.

Visiting hours are Saturday April 24, 2021 from 11am to 1pm with a service at 1pm at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 Middlesex St. Chelmsford, MA 01863.

    This past month, weeks, days have been so difficult. I pray you are at peace. Thank you for being a wonderful, caring, loving brother and for loving my children the way you did. Stephen, Shane and Jenna adored you and always had fun with you each and every time we got together. We have had a lot of amazing times together at the pool, the beach, Brown’s, family parties and holidays. I will love you forever and ever John.

    I met Johnny when he started for the Lowell Housing Authority through The 30 years or so we became best friends we had a lot of good times together deep-sea fishing going to the patriots games in Florida he always had that smile about him he’s the only guy I know that would joke about himself and laugh he loved his family and of course his honey Debbi.You left me with a Lot of good memories you will be missed dearly not just by me but all of those who you have touched in your life.I loved you like a brother so until we meet again rest in peace you are one of my best friends ever I will never forget you and all the good times we had together
