The late John Mwaura Pere of Pepperell, MA, age 45, was born in Nairobi, Kenya on July 19th, 1978, the son of Wilfred Pere and Maryann Wanjiku of Kenya. John passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2024 surrounded by his family after suffering from an unexpected heart attack.
He was the husband to Kelli-Ann Pere of Pepperell with whom he had been married to since June 17th, 2009.
John migrated from Kenya to the USA in August 1998, right after he graduated from Nairobi High School. He spent the majority of his career in healthcare working as a certified nursing assistant in various nursing homes in the greater Merrimack Valley area. He enjoyed caring for the residents as they and coworkers equally were happy having his fun personality around.
John was a people person who loved to tell stories and make people laugh with his jokes. We will miss his big heart and laugh the most. He loved Reggae music and spending time with his family.
John was the father to five children, Davante Durand & Sharik Pere of Nashua NH, Elijah Pere, Ava Pere, & Mikelle Pere of Pepperell MA. In addition, John was the proud Grandpa to Zyair Gagnon of Nashua NH.
He was one of seven siblings, Cathy Pere of Alberta Canada, Valentine Pere of Texas, Deborah Pere & Jeremiah Pere of Ongata Rongai, Celestine Pere & Barbara Pere of Maryland.
John is also survived by fifteen nieces and nephews and many cousins spread throughout the states as well as in Kenya. He will be missed dearly.

Visiting hours Sunday February 25, 2024 from 4-8PM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA.
