John Patrick McCarthy, 65, of Lowell, MA passed away early Saturday, September 17, 2022 at his home in Lowell with his family by his side
He was married to Kathleen A. (Courtney) McCarthy with whom he had celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary this past May.
Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late George and Donna (McGuire) McCarthy.
He attended Lowell High School in his early years.
John retired early from Bulk Services of Lawrence, MA due to his illness.
John enjoyed spending time with family, working on cars, traveling, and watching football.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughter and her husband Erin and Adam Landry of Lowell, MA, his son John McCarthy Jr. of Lowell, MA; his two grandchildren; John P. McCarthy III and Jax McCarthy, his brother George McCarthy and his partner Denise Lamy of Concord, NH, his sister Kathy Mercier of Lowell, MA, his brother-in-law and his wife Thomas and Nora Courtney of Westford, MA, his sister-in-law Mary Jo Courtney and her partner Michael Sarault of Dracut, MA, and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Donna Dunn.
