Karen M. (Lane) Egan RN, 72, of Milford, NH, died Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.
She was the wife of the late William Egan.
Karen was born on May 1, 1949 in Lowell, MA. She was the daughter of the James J. Lane, Sr. and M. Rita (Morin) Lane.
She attended Sacred Heart Grammar School and was a 1967 graduate of Lowell High School, and a graduate of the Lowell General School of Nursing in 1970.
She was a long-time nurse at the former St. John’s Hospital in Lowell and later a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH until retirement.
Karen is survived by her brother James “Jay” Lane and his wife Joan (Zabierek) Lane. She is also survived by her nieces Jennifer (Lane) Goulet and her husband Ronald, Traci (Lane) Finn and her husband Daniel, and her nephew James J. Lane III and his wife Beth (Emerson) Lane. She is also survived by her cousins David Lane and his wife Nancy, Patti Hare and her husband Gary, and Lois Gazis and her husband Gus. She also leaves her two close lifelong friends Charlene Muscato of Tyngsboro and Susan Patterson of Tewksbury, her grand nieces and nephews, and her two loving dogs, Dabby and Mookie.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, April 4, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 115 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, MA. A private burial will be held at a later date in St. Patrick Cemetery, Amherst, NH. Memorials may be made in her name to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway. Methuen, MA 01844.
