Kathryn “Kay” R. Tetrev, 80, of Westford, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday August 10, 2023 at The Atrium in North Chelmsford.
She was married to the late Ronald E. Tetrev, Sr.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Kathryn Rose (Dunn) Reding.
She graduated from Kelly High School, Chicago, with the class of 1961. She attended the University of Illinois Navy Pier, U of L in Urbana and Rivier University in New Hampshire.
Kay was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a strong independent woman, who put the needs of her family above her own. She enjoyed working on puzzles. She was an avid reader and a true fan of Anne McCaffrey. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford.
Kay is survived by her son Paul Tetrev and his wife Diane of Lowell; her daughters Kathryn Camire and her husband Mark of Ayer, Elizabeth Butz and her husband Michael of Lowell and Carolyn McKinley and her husband Michael of Ohio; five grandchildren; a brother Clarence Reding Jr. and his wife Linda of Chicago; a sister Patricia Pertell and her husband Michael of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Ronald Tetrev, Jr. of Lowell who died April 5, 2010.
