Keith Thomas Dion, of Tyngsboro, MA died Saturday, January 12, 2019.
He was married to the love of his life Joan ‘Joanie’ M. (Meehan) Dion with whom he would have celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary on July 17th. Born in Lawrence, MA December 18th 1942 the second of five children born to the late Lionel and Henrietta Dion.
He was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the class of 1961 where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling. After earning his bachelor’s degree in business from UMass Boston, he served as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
As the director of the Boys Club of America in Boston, Keith also had the honor of being the President of the Kiwanis Club in Charlestown 1979-1980. He was passionate about developing resources that transformed Kiwanis goodwill into programs that served the children of the Charlestown Community specifically, summer camp programs and swim scholarships. He also had the pleasure of being on the board of directors for Bunker Hill Community College.
Keith retired from Raytheon of Bedford, MA in 1998 after a long technical career to include nuclear compliant engineering. During his twenty-one years of retirement, he enjoyed traveling especially if it involved beach activities, golfing, sailing, gardening, playing tennis, and a fierce badminton match. However, most of all he loved doting on his wife and spoiling his grandsons.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Parish of North Chelmsford, MA.

I remember Kieth at the Lawrence Boys Club back in the early sixties. My father was a school teacher who worked there summers. Kieth taught me to swim. A very good guy. May he Rest In Peace.
