Laura Cota Bento, 57, of Lowell, MA passed away Friday, August 19, 2022 at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to Jose M. Bento with whom she had celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary this past March.
Born in Azores, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Costa) Cota.
Laura moved to the United States in December of 1996 and later became a citizen in 2006.
She was employed by Herley MDI of Woburn, MA.
She was a communicant of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lowell, MA
Laura enjoyed dancing but above all else she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her three daughters; Monica and Jefferson Marcos of North Port, FL, Telma and Diogo Silva of Dracut, MA, Vanda Bento of Lowell, MA, her brother and his wife Manuel and Ana Cota of Billerica, her two sisters and their spouses; Vitorina and Emiliano Dinis of Terceira, Azores, Natalia and Manuel of Dracut, MA, her sister-in-law Manuela Cota of Terceira, Azores, her five grandchildren; Ayden Cacete, Daphne Marcos, Rylee Marcos, Ethan Marcos, Brysen Silva, her god daughter Susana and Emiliano Sousa of Billerica, MA and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Daniel Cota.
