Lorraine E. (Nelson) Miller also known as “Grammy Bus”, 77, of N. Chelmsford died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, January 10, 2018..

Born in Caribou, ME, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Catherine Nelson.   She graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1958.

Lorraine drove bus # 2 for the Chelmsford Public Schools for over forty five years. She retired from the North Reading Transportation Company in 2016.

Lorraine enjoyed camping, going to the ocean and cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Mahoney of N. Chelmsford; daughter-in-law, Sandy Miller of N. Chelmsford; brother, Ronald Nelson of Lowell; brother-in-law, Lawrence Gay of Nashua, NH; former husband, Harvey Miller of Hollis, NH; grandchildren, Stephen and his wife, Danielle Miller, Sarah Miller, Nathan Mahoney and Jonathan Mahoney; great granddaughter, Aubrey Miller and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Stephen Miller, who died on May 27, 2008 and the sister of the late Carolyn A. Gay, who died on March 6, 2015.

Visiting hours Tues. 4 to 7 P.M. at the Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, Chelmsford. Funeral Service Wed. at 11A.M. at the Congregational Church of N. Chelmsford, 15 Princeton Street, N. Chelmsford. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford.
