Manuel Diaz of Lowell, MA 

Manuel Diaz, 78, of Lowell, MA died Wednesday, June 1, 2022.  He was married to Francisca Torres Diaz with whom he would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on July 2.

Born in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Nicomedes Diaz and Marcelina Pantoja.  He attended High School in Vega Alta, Puerto Rico.

He retired from 3M in Chelmsford, Ma in 2008.Manuel was a member of the Holy Doctrine Church in Lowell, MA. He was involved with religious weekend retreats, preaching, teaching, volunteering and always reading prayers and taking notes of the gospel.  Manuel would lend a helping hand to whoever was in need.

He would make people laugh often and his smile was contagious.  He enjoyed playing Ping Pong at the Lowell Senior Center and visiting relatives and friends in Hudson, MA, especially Carmen, Paco, Jorge, Felix, Tito and Eddie.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters Nancy Coughlin and her husband Ken Coughlin of Hudson, NH, Isabelita Plante and her husband David Plante of Derry, NH,

Madeline Baia and her husband Louis Anthony Baia of Lowell, MA; four grandchildren he adored and often bragged about, Nicholas Plante, Nathan Plante, Shane Coughlin, and Sarah Coughlin; and many nieces and nephews.
