Marguerite A. (McBride) Schnyer, 74, of North Fort Myers, FL died Saturday, March 24, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to Richard Schnyer with whom she celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary in December.
Born in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marguerite McBride. She graduated from St. Columbkille High School in 1961 and from Northeastern University in 1968 with a BS in Business Administration. She and her husband owned and operated The Jack Daniels Motor Inn located in Peterborough, NH until their retirement in 2002.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Marie Schnyer of Santa Barbara, CA; and her sons, Michael and his wife Shelly Schnyer of Nashua, NH and Jeffrey and his wife Mackenzie Schnyer of Waltham, MA; grandchildren, Ethan Schnyer and Joelle Schnyer of Nashua, NH along many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Robert McBride, Monica Heffernan and Maureen Jones.
Marguerites’ passion was her family. She particularly enjoyed traveling with her daughter and supporting her sons through years on the ice playing hockey. She was an avid golfer, a former member at Nabnasset Lake Country Club in Westford and Coral Oaks Golf Club in Cape Coral, FL. where she most recently held the Ladies Presidents Cup Championship.
Visiting hours Mon. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Tues. at 9A.M.from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10A.M. at St. Catherine Church in Westford. Burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Westford, MA. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
