Martha Ann McNamara of Chelmsford, MA

Martha Ann McNamara, 81, of Chelmsford, MA passed away Friday, March 4, 2022 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston, MA.

Born in Lowell, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Madeline (Sullivan) Borst.

Martha graduated from Lowell High School, with the class of 1958. After high school she went on to earn an associate’s degree from the University of Lowell.  Following her passion for the medical field and helping people, Martha worked as a lab technician and ran the blood bank at Lowell General.

After leaving the medical field, she retired from Raytheon as a Quality Inspector at the age of 67 after a long career there.  She was proud to support our military and especially her work on the Sparrow, Sidewinder, and Patriot Missile systems.

Martha enjoyed collecting antiques, socializing, and the beaches on Cape Cod. Martha enjoyed town activities like the July 4^th parade as it passed her home, Freeman Lake, School concerts/plays, and the many baseball fields her sons played on.  She will be remembered by her family as a loving person who adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons; David McNamara of Methuen, MA, Douglas and his wife Darlene McNamara of Salem, NH, Kevin McNamara of Derry, NH, her two daughters; Martha and her husband Kevin Miraglia of Derry, NH, Lauren McNamara of Haverhill, MA, and her three grandchildren; Talia and Sophia McNamara of Reading, MA, and Joseph Miraglia of Derry, NH.
