Mary A. (Burton) Lamy of Westford

Mary A. (Burton) Lamy, 80, died peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Westford.

She was married to Francis J. Lamy with whom she celebrated their fifty sixth wedding anniversary on October 28, 2017.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Alice (Fay) Burton.

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church.

Mary enjoyed cooking, reading and playing cards with her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.  She was a  longtime resident of Westford.

Besides her husband she is survived by daughter, Tina Lamy of Westford; her son, James and his wife, Gretchen Lamy of Westford; grandchildren, Jason and his wife, Krysten Lamy, Jack Lamy and Emmalee Lamy; great grandchildren, Lilly Lamy, Jason Lamy Jr. and Deanna Bourgeos; sister, Alice Jacques of Lowell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Rita Boisvert, Russell Burton, David Burton, Rose Dubay, Bill Burton and Daniel Burton.

There are no visiting hours Funeral Mass Tues. at 9A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Church Chelmsford. Burial in St. Catherine Cemetery, Westford.
