Maurice Cronin, 81, of Chelmsford, MA, died on Monday, September 18, 2023 at home.
He was married to the late Bridget “Bridie ” T. Cronin.
Born in County Kerry, Ireland, he was the son of the late John Cronin and Nora (Spillane) Cronin.
Maurice served with the Local Defense Force -FCA and later attended Bentley College in Waltham, MA.
He owned and operated Cronin Construction of Chelmsford.
He was a communicant of St. Irene’s Church in Carlisle, MA. He was a member of the Local Carpenter’s Union and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. As a former board member, Maurice was a strong supporter of the Paul Center (formerly Camp Paul) in Chelmsford.
Maurice enjoyed traveling back to Ireland. He also enjoyed horse racing, mountains , Traveling and Gaelic football.
He is survived by his sons James Cronin and wife Christine of Pepperell, MA, Maurice Cronin and wife Kelly, formerly of Dunstable, MA, Dennis Cronin and wife Pamela of Ashby, MA; his brother Denny Cronin of County Kerry, Ireland; his sisters Margaret Quirk, Noreen Finn, Guertie Duffin, all of County Kerry, Ireland; seven grandchildren, Jessica Cronin, Shannon Cronin, Brendan Cronin, Derek Cronin, Myles Cronin, Liam Cronin, and John Cronin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Michael Cronin who died on October 2, 1991 and the brother of the late John Cronin and Mary Kenny.

Maurice Cronin, Chelmsford, died September 18, 2023. Visiting hours Tuesday, September 26 from 3-7pm at DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX STREET, N. CHELMSFORD, MA. Funeral Wednesday, September 27 at 10am at St. Irene’s Catholic Church, Carlisle. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
