What a sad day for us all- as Michael was one of the most honorable men I knew- even as a child growing up I have always known him as a man who embodied such strength and honor. As a best friend of my mother and saving grace in the life of my brother- Michael’s influence was much like an uncle and stories of his strength and selflessness have been a regular piece of my life. He was an honored guest at my wedding and I will cherish all that he has so selflessly provided by his example as a good man, a friend and someone you always knew you could trust and depend on. May God continue to bless you and your family and may our blessed mother be waiting graciously at the gates of heaven for you. I am hoping your family knows what an amazing ripple you have created in this world. With respect and tears- Jessica (Terris) Shaffer

Mike you were there when i first came in, and you differently scared me. But as i got to know you , i was intrigued by your faith. Once i got over your bark. You are a man of truth and honor. You said your were ready when he wanted you. But did it have to be so soon. You always talked about God grace and love. Now your with him and all your love ones. RIP MY FRIEND

A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts and minds, through us, they live on. You are that person Mike.

Without even knowing it. Mike showed me early on the path that one could find so much joy in life’s daily insanity. To his family and friends I know you are hurting right now . But I hope that mourning can be offset just a little by finding that same joy he brought to so many. On some level he’s probably having a good laugh about all this. . Thank you Mike

Honor and Integrity are the first words that came to my mind when I think of My Precious Friend Mike He is my go to person. I feel sooo sorry for myself what will I do
But then I remember how Michael lived every day of his life In service to others I guess that his work was done here on earth. I know that he claimed to be just another Bozo on the bus I never thought that he was. He was So Special The World Was Better With Him In It
I am comforted knowing that he went directly to heaven
and is with his Susan and countless others. I think that Our Blessed Mother will be there waiting to greet him
I will never know a finer human being.
I love you. Goodbye for now your friend janey

I will most certainly miss your smile
And your contagious sense of humor,
You helped so many with your kind
    and direct no nonsense advice,
You were always there to share
the advice that was so freely
    given to you.
I will miss you my friend !!!!

Do you want this? That was (to me at least) Mike’s message. This is serious stuff. Do you want it? That was his message. Simple as that. Thank you, Mike for your clarity, your honesty, your faith in the Church, your love and caring of those who stumbled in after you. Thank you. David Anderson

As an example of God doing his work on earth through people, you need to look no further than Mike. He selflessly gave, shared and lead always staying on message that we were in a spiritual battleground.
Mike and I just last week had spoken how each day had been a gift here on earth and he made the most of that gift. I miss you already but i’m sure your in heaven looking down on us..
