Michael Joseph Botto, 41, of Nashua, NH passed away
August 8, 2017 after a 5 year courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born August 1, 1976, in Lowell, Massachusetts, and the son of Stephen and Colleen (Langan) Botto Sr.
He attended St. Louis Elementary School and continued his education at Greater Lowell Vocational High School graduating in 1994 specializing in electrical work. Michael worked for 25 years alongside his cousin at Bond Electric as a licensed electrician.
He enjoyed spending time with family, camping, and living a simple life. Above all else, he cherished the quality time he spent with his fiancé, son, siblings, parents, and friends.
Michael spent his youth at the ball parks, playing baseball, basketball, and soccer. He left a lasting memory for all those who got to witness him play. He had so much fight and ability packed into such a small frame. Along with the strength from his family, his fight and determination carried him until his final day.
He is survived by his parents; son, Michael Edward Botto; fiancé, Alecia Pare; sisters and their spouses, Keri and Kevin Boucher and Kristine and Don Drust; brother and spouse, Stephen Jr. and Melissa Botto; nephews, Jacob, Matthew, Joshua and Brewer; nieces, Lily, Abigail and Oakley; special friend, Keith DiRocco and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Michael was predeceased by grandparents, John Sr. and Dolly Langan and Stephen G. and Mary Botto.
A special and sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and social workers from Tufts Medical, Lowell General Cancer Center and Merrimack Valley Hospice.
Visiting hours Thurs. 4 to 8 P.M. Funeral Fri. at 9A.M.from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10A.M. at St. Michael Church, 543 Bridge Street, Lowell, MA. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury, MA. Memorials may be made in Michael’s name to the Lowell General Hospital Team Walk for Cancercare. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
