Nancy E. (Lang) Delaney, 57, a proud life-long resident of Lowell died surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 5, 2017 at D’Youville Senior Care Center in Lowell.

She was married to Brian T. Delaney with whom she celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on May 2, 2017.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late John and Maryanne Lang Sr. She graduated from Keith Hall with the class of 1978.

Nancy was a substitute teacher for the Lowell Public Schools substituting at the Morey School. She had previously worked for Astro Circuits of Lowell and Wang Laboratory of Lowell and was a dental assistant.

She was an active communicant of St. Margaret Church of Lowell; where she was a member of the Parish’s Hospitality Committee, Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, and was a lector.

She enjoyed going to the beach, and long drives going to try different restaurants. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her daughter and granddaughter whom she adored.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Erin C. Delaney of Danvers; a brother, John “Jack” and his wife, Mary Lou Lang Jr. of Methuen; a mother-in-law, Carol Delaney of Lowell; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Terry and Peter Mongan of Westford, MA and Chrissy and Fred Murphy of Ashby, MA; a granddaughter, Mackenzie Delaney of Danvers and many nieces and nephews.

Brian and Erin would like to thank the staff at D’Youville Senior Care Center and Circle Health Hospice for their untiring love, support and care they provided Nancy and their family.

Visiting hours Fri. 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Sat. at 9A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10A.M. at St. Margaret Church in Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West 6th Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.     I love you mom so much. I wish you were still here with us. I cannot believe you are gone… I hope you are happy up in heaven with your parents. I know you are in a better place, free from pain and illness. Mackenzie misses you so much, she cannot believe her Neena is gone. Do not worry, I will take care of dad for you and harriet your beloved pug. You had a long battle with your illnesses and now you are finally healthy and free.     Erin, I am so sorry you lost your Mom. Your Mom and I were always happy to see each other and talk about you and my daughter. She was so proud of you and Mackenzie. We had quite a few family celebrations over the years and had a lot of laughs. I will miss her.
    You are correct, she will always be watching over you and Mackenzie. She was a lovely lady with a sweet soul.
