Nona Edith (Burrows) Georges, 82, a longtime resident of Dunstable, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was married to Peter Georges with whom she would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on September 22nd.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Edith (Kinne) Burrows. She was raised in Lowell and graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1951.
Nona enjoyed traveling, bowling, knitting, cross stitching, baking, and gardening. Nona’s greatest joy in life came from spending time in the company of her loving family.
Nona was a member of the Dunstable Congregational Church and a foster mother to many babies through the Florence Crittenton League of Lowell. She was employed by Peter J. Georges Realty Inc., for many years.
Besides her husband she is survived by her sons, Stephen Georges and his wife, Bernadette of Ashby and Scott Georges and his husband, Todd Sunderland of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Cindy Black and her husband Robert of Groton, and Rose Georges of Dunstable; her daughter in law, Kathleen Georges of Groton; brother, Robert Burrows and wife Ruth of Everett; sister, Bonnie Johnson of Lowell; ten grandchildren, Stephen and Ashley Black, Shelby and her husband Bill Morris, Peter, Jennifer, Nicole, Zachary, and Sarah Georges, John and Nona Hunt; great grandson, Will Morris and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the Mother of the late John “Jack” Georges of Dunstable and the sister of the late Marcia Hanson of Dummer, NH.
At her request there are no visiting hours. Graveside service Monday April 24th at 11AM at the Central Cemetery, 454 Main St., Dunstable, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lowell General Hospital’s Emergency Department Fund c/o The Philanthropy Department or Dunstable Police or Fire Department.

Uncle Peter, Cindy, Jack, Steve, Scott, Rose, aunt Bonnie, Uncle Bob so sorry for the passing of who I will always remember as aunt Noanie. I am glad that Nana Banana and the girls kept us all so close and so connected as a family.
