Patricia “Pat” J. Hall, 89, of Andover formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday April 30, 2018 at the Atria Marland Place in Andover.
She was married to the late Robert “Bob” A. Hall, who died on April 19, 2016.
Born and raised in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late James and Jane (Dunn) Haley. She graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1946.
Pat worked as a secretary for the Lowell Tax Collectors Office. She met her husband while working as a civil employee at Fort Devens. She retired in 1992 from Forbes Engineering in Salem, MA.
She was a communicant of St. Rita’s Church, Lowell and played the Trumpet for the St. Rita Cadets. Pat was formerly a communicant of St. John the Baptist in Peabody and a member of their Sodality. She also volunteered at St. John’s Thrift Shop.
Pat was the secretary for several years for the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Her greatest love was her family. She enjoyed many trips to Lake Winnipesaukee with her family. Later in life she enjoyed traveling. She loved music, and playing the Organ and Piano at home.
She is survived by her sons, Brian and his wife, Sherry of Tega Cay, SC, Larry Hall and his wife, Michele Brown-Hall of Methuen, MA; a daughter, Jane Carter and her husband, James of Bedford, MA; six grandchildren, Kindra Tompkins, Russell, Jeremy, and Nathaniel Hall, Elizabeth Carter, and Joseph Carter; two great grandchildren, Caleb and Blake Tompkins; sister, Gabrielle McEvoy and her husband, Robert of Westford; she is also survived by her brother in law, Stephen Goveia of Barnstable, MA, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was predeceased by her son Robert “Bobby” J. Hall who died in November 1978, and her siblings Fredrick Haley, Ruth Quealy, and Rita Goveia.
Visiting hours Thursday 5 to 8 P.M. Funeral Friday at 9 A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Rita’s Church in Lowell.
