My condolences to Pete’s family. Uncle Pete had a big heart and always a smile when I saw him. He was a big influence to me my whole life. I will never forget him and his great sense of humor. Will miss him so much.

Peter was one of the toughest, strongest, most willful men I have had the pleasure of knowing. Even though I met him as an older gentleman, he would envelop my hand with a big strong powerful handshake and give a tug, so you knew he was still strong. He had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed giving us a laugh at Speros expense. He lived life truly and unapologetically, and cared deeply for all of us and our families. Peter and I enjoyed teasing each other about the supremacy of the ancient Greeks vs Turks, and I can proudly say I was his favorite Turk. He will truly be missed.

I got to meet Mr. Beldekas about 40 years ago in second grade. He was always smiling and greeting me with a big handshake when I came to visit Speros at the Belmont home. Some of my first memories of him were his greeting, giant white Cadillac in the skinny driveway, and lots of well manicured grape vines that he would keep reminding me to eat. So many quick little conversations around the kitchen before heading out with Speros. I am so thankful I met him and Mrs Beldekas and that I still have a good friend today as a result.
