Rita N. (Riberdy) St. Onge, 89, of South Chelmsford died surrounded by her loving family at her home on Thursday, February 23, 2017.

She was married to the late Eugene St. Onge who died July 22, 2000.

Born in Lowell she was the daughter of the late Zephir and Lena Riberdy. She graduated from Dracut High School with the class of 1945 and from St. John’s Hospital School of Nursing with the class of 1948.

Rita was as a registered nurse who worked at the Bedford Veterans Hospital, St. John’s Hospital, Blair House, Littleton House and Palm Manor.

She was a communicant of St. Mary Church of Chelmsford.

Rita was a member of the Chelmsford Senior Citizens.

She is survived by her sons, Wayne R. St. Onge of the Philippines and Gary E. and his wife, Diane St. Onge of Chelmsford; a brother, Bernard J. and his wife, Rita Riberdy of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister, Marguerite Connors of Endicott, NY three grandchildren, Kevin E. St. Onge and his companion, Tamami Kataoka both of Sharon, MA and Katherine E. St. Onge Boulder of CO, and Jon E. St. Onge of Daly City, CA; a great grandson, Jered St. Onge of Pacifica, CA; several nieces, nephews and close family friends.

She was the sister of the late Alice Monbleau and the late Pauline Fleury.

No Visiting Hours. Funeral Mass Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11A.M. at St. Mary Church in Chelmsford. Burial at a later date in the Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the Home Health VNA Merrimack Valley Hospice HomeCare, Inc., 360 Merrimack St.; Bldg. 9, Lawrence, MA 01843. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST.     Please accept my deepest sympathy during this most difficult time. May you find comfort and peace knowing that soon in the near future death will be a thing of the past.
