Robert A Donnelly, 92, died Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was married to Beatrice (Avila) Donnelly with whom he recently celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.
Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of Arthur Donnelly and Signe (Wahlgren) Donnelly.
He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1949.
He proudly served with the US Air Force during the Korean War.
Robert retired from ZBR Publications of Haverhill, MA.
He enjoyed reading and doing puzzles, and was an avid fan of Boston sports teams.
He is survived by his son Robert Donnelly Jr, his daughters Susan Guerin and her husband William, and Leah Mullin; his grandchildren Robert III and his wife Anjelica, Garrick, and Katherine Donnelly, Thomas, Joseph, and Maria Guerin, Jared McBride, Alicia and Nicole Mullin; his great-grandchildren Leia, Ezra, and Lucas; his brother Ronald Donnelly, his sister Marilyn Herbert; and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was the brother of the late Leonard Donnelly, Arthur Donnelly, Lorraine Tyler, and Corinne Holt.

Visiting hours Saturday, July 1 from 11:30AM to 12:30PM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass on Saturday, July 1 at 1:00PM at St. Mary Church in Chelmsford. Aunt Bea, Cousins Susan, Leah, and Robbie – My deepest condolences to all of you. Uncle Bob was a wonderful guy. He was kind and funny and wise, and I aways looked forward to seeing him at family gatherings. He may be gone from this world but he’ll live on in all of our hearts. God bless him and God bless all of you!
