Robert W. “Bob” Lucier, 82, of Dracut, MA died unexpectedly, Sunday, July 2, 2023 at his home.

He was married to Kathryn Ann Lucier for 53 years, until her death in January 2019.

Born in Lowell, Bob was the son of the late Robert J. and Ruth (Mulligan) Lucier. He graduated from Keith Academy with the class of 1958, where he was an accomplished basketball player.

He proudly served with the Army during the Vietnam War era.

For 30 years, Bob worked for the Telephone Company, until his retirement in 1991.

He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Lowell, MA.

Bob loved sports, especially basketball and golf, enjoyed the beach and winters at Treasure Island in Florida. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Bob is survived by his children, Michelle Patten of Raymond, NH, Robert W. Lucier, Jr. of Dracut, John Lucier of Lowell and his former wife, Kim of Suwanee, GA, and their children, Erin Lucier of Bridgewater, Kiley Lucier of Atlanta, GA, and Robert Joseph Lucier and his fiancée, Lindsey Berridge, of Sugar Hill, GA; siblings, William Lucier, Lynda Sawyer, Louann Gagnon, all of Lowell, and Laureen Lucier and Thomas Economou of Tewksbury; and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late John Lucier and Bruce Lucier.

Bob’s visitation will be Friday from 9 to 10AM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 144 East Merrimack St. Lowell. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Tewksbury.
