Ronald E. Nelson, age 69, passed away on Friday morning, July 5, 2019 with loving family by his side.
Born in Caribou Maine he was the son of the late Catherine and Carl Nelson. When Ron was a young boy he and his mother moved to Newton, Massachusetts where they resided for many years. He graduated from High School with the class of 1967 and later attended Northeastern University in Boston studying art and music.
In addition to spending time with his family, he loved all of the New England sports teams and enjoyed music, especially the Beatles. Ron loved to play the guitar, sketch, draw and paint. He also loved to play hockey and one of his best paintings was a picture of Fred Flintstone wearing a Boston Bruins uniform. He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He loved to read and was a trivia buff.. He loved to have discussions about philosophy. He had a gentle soul with great love for his pets and all living creatures.
He was the brother of the late Carolyn Gay and Lorraine Miller, both of whom loved him dearly.
He is survived by his nieces, Lalah Larssen of Belmont, NH and Karen Mahoney of N Chelmsford, Ma. He is also survived by his nephews Richard Larssen and his wife Charlene of Hudson, Ma, Peter Larssen and his wife Michelle of Berlin, Ma, and Carl Larssen of Berlin, Ma. He was pre-deceased by his nephew Stephen Miller of N Chelmsford, Ma.
Ron also leaves behind his Goddaughter Michelle Larssen of Belmont, NH and many great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 12th at Fairview Cemetery Chelmsford at 2:00 pm. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.

I worked with Ron for several years at Bay Networks/Nortel Networks. I really liked and cared for Ron. We kept in touch for many years after Nortel closed down. I will miss him
