5839 OHaganRuth L. (Lowrey) O’Hagan of Lowell, 95, died Sunday evening, July 17, 2016 at Lowell General Hospital.

She was married to the late Thomas L. O’Hagan, who died on December 7, 2004.

Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late James A. and Rosella Lowrey.  She graduated from Keith Hall in 1940 and from Lowell Commercial College in 1941.

She was a communicant of St. Margaret Church of Lowell, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was involved in the Churches’ Legion of Mary Group as well as St. Margaret Sodality.  Ruth was a member of the Middlesex Women’s Club in Lowell, and the League of Catholic Women.

She is survived by 2 sons Donald T. O’Hagan and his partner, Sharon Welch of Westford, MA and Thomas L. Jr. and his wife, Sheila O’Hagan of Hopkinsville, KY; 2 daughters, Darryl Alexa of Tyngsboro and Sharon and her husband, James Davidson of Tyngsboro; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the mother-in-law, to the late John Alexa, and the sister of the late Harold, Chester and John Lowrey, the late Geraldine O’Brien, and the late Doris Tereshko.

There are no Visiting Hours. Funeral Sat. at 9A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. at St. Margaret Church, 374 Stevens Street, Lowell. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
