    Dear Family,

Ruth was a very special person for me and my mother. I remember she lent me a beautiful gown to wear for one of the performances in the Moody School Plays and she was always a kind and generous person. For many years she would sit in the pew behind or in front of my mother and me. I remember she travelled a lot and even visited Paris where I was working and we had a delightful dinner together in a restaurant near to where I lived.

Although I am not able to come to Chelmsford, I will always think of her with fondness and admiration.
