Although I haven’t had the pleasure of knowing Sandy for very long, “Live, Laugh, Love” was surely her motto. She was one of the most loving, caring, and compassionate people that I have ever known. Her heart was always open to everyone, even in all of the difficult days that she encountered having to live with the debilitating disease of Cancer. Her dearly loved companion of 38 years, Curtis Kearin, was always by her side to love her, give her strength and help her through her difficult days. Thank you Curtis for always being there for her with your love, strength and fortitude. Rest in Peace, dear Sandy. You are yet another angel that God had called home.

I will greatly miss my Aunt Sandbags more than words can say. She was such a loving and selfless person, and she no doubt made the world a better place! She will always be in this Little Lamb’s heart, and I pray now that she is at peace.

Sandy became my friend immediately at our co-op here in Pompano Beach, years ago.. We are the same age, although, as she always reminded me, she was the one that was six months younger, and she was! She was the type of person that actually snail mailed you cards when she was just around the corner. And she always had such kind words and signed off with a red heart. Sandy, I will miss your heart in so many ways. I am proud of you for all you did to be able to be with us as long as you did.
To Sandy’s family and Curt, I cannot tell you how my heart goes out to you all.
I will miss her stories about each and everyone of you. Thanks for sharing her with us for as long as you did. Peggy Lewis xo
