Her house was always open. She and her family vacationed in York Beach, Maine each summer which was referred to as her “happy place.”
She is survived by her son, Kenneth E. Lianne & Bill ,
    our condolences for your loss
    May this pray give some comfort

    Lord, make me an instrument of your peace,
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
    where there is injury, pardon;
    where there is doubt, faith;
    where there is despair, hope;
    where there is darkness, light;
    where there is sadness, joy;
    O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
    to be understood as to understand;
    to be loved as to love.
    For it is in giving that we receive;
    it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
    and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Pray of St. Francis

    Jane, Lianne, Chip I was so sad to hear of Shirley’s passing. You all were the best neighbors. What I wish for all of you is when you think of your mom, “that a smile will cover your face before a tear fills your eye”. With Shirley I’m sure you’ll have many smiles in your memories and also the tears will come because she was such a huge presence in your life and everyone’s life. There was no one like Shirley! ?
