Shirley M. (Silva) Wickens, 58, of Chelmsford, MA died, Thursday November 19, 2015 at the Westford House in Westford, MA.
She was married to David C. Wickens with whom she celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on February 14, 2015.
Born in Lowell, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Brady) Silva. She graduated from Nashoba Valley Technical High School with the class of 1975.
Shirley worked as an administrative secretary for the Masonic Lodge of Lexington. She had previously worked as the manager of Fotomat of Lowell
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Shirley enjoyed camping, water skiing, working on race cars, playing pool, and playing darts.
She was a proud lifelong resident of Chelmsford.
Besides her husband she is survived by three brothers, Rev. Frank J. Silva of Burlington, MA, David and his wife, Sharon Silva of Concord, NH, and Robert Silva of Dunstable; two sisters, Annmarie and her husband, William Marchand of Topsfield, MA and Sandra and her husband, James Noel of Lowell; three stepsisters, Charlotte and her husband, Paul Martinage of Windham, ME, Ethel and her husband, David Rondeau of Tyngsboro, and Gail and her husband, Salvatore Lipomi of E. Concord, VT; her father-in-law, Harris Wickens of Chelmsford; 2 brothers-in-law, John and his wife, Melanie Wickens of Chelmsford and Darryl and his wife, Jeannie Wickens of Tyngsboro; two sisters-in-law, Barbara and her husband, Steven Jordan of Danville, NH and Della and her husband, Neil Coffin of Chelmsford; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late James J. Silva.
Visiting hours Sun. 2 to 6 P.M. Funeral Mon. at 11:30 A.M. from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST., CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 12:30 P.M. at St. Mary’s Church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-251-4041.
