Stephen Thomas Buchanan, 63, of Brookline, NH, passed away on October 31, 2023 surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Diane (Fidler) Buchanan and his cherished children Jack and Stephanie. He was a devoted son to his late parents John and Barbara (Kelly) Buchanan as well as a beloved sibling to his brother Harold Buchanan and his late wife Debra, his three sisters and their spouses; Cindy and Frank Kerstetter, Linda and Tom Coppinger and Leslie and Rick Danielson and a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He proudly worked for T.J. McCartney Inc of Nashua NH for the past 27 years.

Stephen spent his younger years in Westford, MA, where he established many lifelong friendships and countless memories. Those friendships brought him much happiness throughout the years and will always hold a special place in his heart.

Stephen, known to many as “Bucky” had an everloving joy for life. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast. In the summer months he would spend his free time swimming in the ocean or any other body of water followed by a winter full of snowmobiling around New England. He had a lifelong passion for the game of golf.  He was proud of his many summits of Mt. Washington during all seasons of the year. Above all else, Stephen enjoyed spending time with his family and his many friends.

Stephen’s positive attitude and love for life was infectious. His smile brought peace, joy and happiness to everyone he encountered.  He will forever be remembered by his value and dedication to family and his love for life’s simple pleasures. He will live on in a lifetime of memories by all those who shared the privilege of knowing and loving him.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 1-5 pm at the VFW in Westford, MA where his family asks you to bring a special written down memory of Stephen.

    Steve was one of those friends that no matter where or when you saw him ,he always made you feel special. His smile always made anyone near him smile. He meant so much to so many .     This is so sad although I had lost touch with Steven and Dianne. I have many years of great memories, lots of laughs he was always such a good guy and dependable friend always had a little nickname for everyone. My Thoughts and prayers are with his family and Friends. RIP aka Carol Bo-Barrel

    I had not seen Stephen for the last three decades, but I know he was always so positive and tried to live life to the fullest, which I’m sure he did
