Stephen Vincent Goodwin, 52, of Chelmsford died Saturday April 18, 2015 unexpectedly at Tewksbury State Hospital. He was born July 19, 1962 in Somerville, MA the son of Raymond A. Goodwin Sr. and the late Theresa E. (Courtney) Goodwin.
He was a longtime Chelmsford resident. He attended Nashoba Valley Technical High School. Stephen worked around the Chelmsford area as a contractor in landscaping.
He enjoyed camping, especially camping as a Nascar race fan in Loudon, NH every year for his birthday. He enjoyed the summer and visits to Six Flags amusement parks.
Besides his father he is survived by two daughters; Courtney Goodwin of Chelmsford, and Casey Moore also of Chelmsford, one grandson Ayden Dore of Chelmsford, Two sisters Mary T Faucher and her husband George of Escondido, CA, and Janis M. Goodwin of Chelmsford. Seven brothers; Raymond A. Goodwin Jr. of Chelmsford, Francis G. Goodwin and his wife Kajsa Norgren of Halfmoon, NY, John D. Goodwin and his wife Nancy of Brentwood, NH, Ralph T. Goodwin and his wife Randi of Port Orchard, WA, Bruce L. of Spring Lake, NC, Andrew P. Goodwin of Escondido, CA, Kenneth J. Goodwin of Chelmsford and his wife Patti of Chelmsford. Stephen is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides his mother Stephen is predeceased by his sister in law Penny Goodwin of Spring Lake, NC who died in 2012.
His graveside burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery 90 River Rd. Tewksbury, MA 01876 on Saturday May 2nd at 9:30AM. i’m gonna miss this bright fella, always a helping hand! Had great friendships with Steve. Lots of fun at camp on 3 mile pond in China, me.
