Thomas Francis Grover Sr. , 73 of Chelmsford passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on Tuesday morning, July 3, at the Lahey Medical Center in Burlington.
Tom was born in Jamaica Plain, Boston on January 8, 1946, the son of the late John and Rita (Foster) Grover.
He was educated in the Boston school system he graduated from Jamaica Plain High school with the class of 1964. Immediately after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. After receiving his honorable discharge after a 25 year career in the Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer, he began working at Mitre Corp as a dispatcher from where he retired.
In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family, going to Foxwoods, going to see a Red Sox game and meeting his Mitre family for coffee. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Deborah (Martin) Grover of Chelmsford, his son Tom and his wife Julie of Attleboro, his daughter, Karin Kiernan and her husband Kevin from Sarasota, FL, six grandchildren, sister, Susan Pruitt and her husband Sonny of VA, Mary Hall and her husband John of Maine, brother, John Grover and his wife Marie of Rowley, MA, and many in laws and friends.
Services are private. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
