Thomas M. Muldoon, 71, of North Chelmsford, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Lowell General Hospital.

He was married to his beloved Kathleen Muldoon with whom he would have celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary on July 23, 2017 after sharing many beautiful years together.

Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Albert J. and Amelia Muldoon. He graduated from Keith Academy with the class of 1963.

Besides his wife, he is survived by son Michael, his wife Monica Muldoon and Tom’s canine pal Settie of Hampton, NH; stepson Craig and his wife Shannon MacCormack of N. Attleboro, MA; stepdaughter Jaclyn and her husband Jason Clark of Lowell; grandchildren Lauren Muldoon, Erin Muldoon, Andrew Muldoon, Alyssa MacCormack, Isaac Clark, Isla Clark and Eli Clark; sisters Jeannie and her husband Peter Molloy of South Yarmouth, MA; Theresa and her husband Joseph Vail of Lowell and brother Albert Jr. and his wife Patricia Muldoon of South Yarmouth, MA; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and Sandra J. (Dunsford) Muldoon of N. Chelmsford.

His dedicated work ethic began as a young boy at his family-owned business, Muldoon Brothers Oil Company of Lowell, and ended after more than 20 years at D&R General Contractor of Melrose as operations manager and superintendent.

He proudly served with the U.S. Army Reserve from 1965 and 1971 and was a longtime member of the Melrose Elks Lodge #1031.

He was a communicant of Saint Margaret Parish and served as an usher.

Thomas was a proud longtime resident of Chelmsford who loved his Irish heritage. But his greatest love was his family, with whom he created many memories that will last them a lifetime, especially during summer trips to Cape Cod and his annual family Christmas party.

I am so sorry to learn to Tommy’s passing. I’ve known the Muldoon family for many years. Their families and
mine, (the Gills’) had many July 4th celebrations out a their camp. Many great memories.

I remember Muldoon’s down on Broadway and up on Gorham Street. Have not been in Lowell since 1977 but I am a
kid who grew up in the Acre and also lived up in the highlands.

Again, my deepest condolence in Tommy’s passing.
