William Dana “The General” Hicks, 84, of Goffstown, NH died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at his residence.
Born in North Adams, MA, he was the son of the late Murray and Doris Hicks. He graduated from Springfield High School in Vermont with the class of 1951.
He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He owned and operated Fitzgerald-Hicks Dodge Toyota of Salem, NH
William was a fan of the music of Merle Haggard. He was also an avid sports fan.
He is survived by his son Raymond and his wife, Marie-Claire Hicks of Pelham, NH; his granddaughter, Danielle Romanik and great-grandson Chris Romanik; one brother, Bruce and his wife, Toni Hicks of Milford, NH; and a sister-in-law, Marie Hicks of Westford.
He was the brother of the late Robert Hicks of Westford, Murray Hicks of Dracut, Gary Hicks, Richard Hicks, and John Hicks of Vermont, and Barbara Calderone of Chicago.
Visiting hours Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00a.m. at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD. Burial will be at a later date. I only had the opportunity to know you about a year, but this past year of being your go to girl was fun, aggravating, and loving. I am gong to miss you General, Precious will miss you too.
