William Lyons Kelley a Longtime Resident of Chelmsford, MA

William Lyons Kelley, 85, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA died Sunday evening, August 8, 2021 at Maplewood Center in Amesbury, MA.

He was married to the late Elizabeth (Marie) Kelley who died September 16, 2004.

Born in Lowell, MA, he was the son of the late William Kelley and Eleanor (Foye) Kelley.  He graduated from Lowell High School with the class of 1953 and Lowell Tech in Manufacturing and Engineering.

He proudly served with the U.S. Air Force.

He owned and operated Manning Manse of Billerica, MA, and Kelley’s Oyster House of N. Reading, MA.

He was an active a communicant of St. Mary Church in Chelmsford, MA.

William enjoyed boating and downhill skiing.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen and her husband, William Morrissey of Hampton, NH; a son, Peter and his wife, Amy Kelley of Miliani, HI; a daughter-in-law, Jessica Kelley of Chelmsford, MA; two sisters, Eleanor Foley of Tyngsboro, MA and Janet Kelley of Chelmsford, MA; a brother, Gerald and his wife, Brenda Kelley of Hampton, NH; four grandchildren, Sean Kelley, Michelle Kelley, Megan Kelley and William Morrissey; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Kelley and Anna Kelley and several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late William J. Kelley, twin brother of the late Edward Kelley, and the brother-in-law to the late James Foley.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021 at 11am at St. Mary Church, 25 North Rd., Chelmsford, MA.  Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.  Memorials may be made in his name to St. Mary Church with  donations being mailed to 115 Middlesex St., Chelmsford, MA 01863.  ARRANGEMENTS BY DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 978-256-4040.
