William P. McCann of Chelmsford, MA

5729-McCannWilliam P. McCann, 56, longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA died peacefully Tuesday, February 9, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at his home.

He was happily married to Mrs. Natalie (Jewell) McCann with whom he would have celebrated their 32nd wedding anniversary on June 2, 2016.

Born in Lowell, MA on October 21, 1959 the son of the late Alfred D. McCann and Mary T.(Doherty) McCann of Nashua, NH. He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School with the class of 1977.

Mr. McCann was the owner and operator of McCann Auto Body in Chelmsford and Lowell, as well as McCann Construction in Lowell. He remodeled countless homes in the Merrimack Valley area.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford.

William enjoyed fishing but was most happy spending quality time with his family and friends especially his three cherished grandchildren.

Besides his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, William P. McCann, Jr. and his wife Lisa, Timothy McCann and his fiancé Monica Kallberg all of Chelmsford. He was a grandfather (Ga-Ga) of three cherished grandchildren, Emma, James and Eamonn McCann who all brought him much joy during his illness. A brother, James McCann and his wife, Katrina (Yankapoulos) of Groton, MA, two sisters and their husbands, Mary and Kevin Hillyard of Hudson, NH; Margaret and Russell Brown of Nashua, NH. Mother-in-law, Barbara Jewell, Sister-in-law, Deborah and her husband Tony Manning, Donna and her husband Steve Tompkins, Brother-in-law David and his wife Becky Jewell, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours Thursday 3 to 7 P.M. Funeral Friday at 9 AM from the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, with a funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts Chapter, 480 Pleasant St. Watertown, MA 02472
