It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Carrick (Anna M Hawes), 87, announces her passing on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 at the Town and Country Health Center in Lowell.
Marie was married for over 50 years to the late Harold M, Carrick, who died on January 25, 2004.
Born and raised in Salem, MA she was the daughter of the late Elbridge and Anna Hawes. She graduated from Peabody High School with the class of 1949.
Marie and her late husband relocated to Chelmsford, MA to care for her elderly father in 1989. She began working for Aramark at UMass Lowell where she proudly served students for over 20 years.
She is survived by her sons, Matt and his wife, Julie Carrick of Peabody, MA and Michael and his wife, Sue Carrick of Salem, MA; daughters, Joyce Demers of Salem, NH and Joanne and her husband, Frank Keefe of Dracut, MA; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, who were her absolute pride and joy.
She was the mother-in-law to the late Lawrence Demers.
Anna’s visiting hours will be Thurs. from 11am to 1pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at the DOLAN FUNERAL HOME, 106 MIDDLESEX ST. CHELMSFORD, MA. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery, Chelmsford. Memorials may be made in her name to the Care Dimensions Hospice, Ste. B-102, 75 Sylvan St, Danvers, MA 01923. She was the best! My first friend at the campground. Always caring, loving and just plain nice. She is at peace and with her lost loved ones now. It is always worse on those of us left behind. Rest in peace Marie.

My thoughts and prayers to the family of Marie. She was a wonderful, kind, and a beautiful lady. I remember when up at camp and I would walk by her site and stop to say hello. Her two cats would be outside and I made sure to say hello to them too… Marie you will be greatly missed my many. RIP.
