Benjamin Chidi Dike was born on November 23, 1955 in Agbaghara Nsu, Imo State in Nigeria.  His upbringing was primarily in Lagos, Nigeria and he received his formal education at Madonna Boys High School, Etiti.  Benjamin’s uncle Dr. Dike brought him to the United States in 1984 and he attended Roxbury College and Northeastern University earning his B.A. and M.S. in Computer Information Systems.

In 1998 Benjamin married Ellen Mawere and together they had two children, Adaeze Vimbai and Amaka.  Ben and Ellen raised their girls in Nashua, NH, USA where he spent his final years.

Ben was called to be a minister of the Gospel in 2007 and subsequently dedicating his life to the service of the Lord.  He entered his role as a Pastor wholeheartedly and he worked diligently in his calling.

Pastor Ben’s favorite past times were reading, watching sports and traveling however what he loved most was spending time with his beloved wife and daughters.

Pastor Ben has ascended to heaven to be with his parents Raymond and Jenny Dike, his brothers Geoffrey and George and his sister Maria Celine.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife Ellen Chidi Dike and daughters Adaeze and Amaka; siblings Celestine, Charles, Vitalis; Uncle Onyebuchi; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, friends and colleagues.

    Dear Ellen,
I didn’t see it coming, fast and furious. Pastor Jack fought a great fight but was overpowered by a force greater than him. And the Dikes have lost a great son, you have lost a loving husband and the girls have no father.
The Almighty God in his infinity mercy will feel all these voids as the bell tolls the knell of the parting of your husband. Thanks for being a caring and loving husband for my cousin throughout your marital years until he gave up the ghost.
Remember me to the girls. May the good Lord guide and protect you.

    Dear Pumpkin,
I didn’t see this coming at all! Your passing reminds me that life is a gift and our lives are temporal on this earth.
Barely two weeks ago, I called you and when you finally called back we spoke at length and you told me of your plans to go home (to Nigeria) and stay there for a month. I didn’t know you meant “going home to be with the Lord.”
Tuesday, last week, you forwarded me a message at 6:43pm about this new delta COVID-19 virus and l didn’t know that would be our last communication.
News of your passing came as a shock to me. However, I take comfort in the words of the Apostle Paul which says that ‘..to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Alas, Pumpkin, you are now in our future…
To Pastor Ellen , Adaeze and Amaka,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family at this time. Take comfort in the knowledge that
Pumpkin is now enjoying the benefits of eternal life and his rewards in the Lord.
I say this in all certainty, even as the scriptures do not lie, that our Pumpkin is very much alive in the presence of the Lord even though his body is here with us.
    1 John 3:14 says,
“We know that we have passed from death unto life because we love the brethren. The one who does not love remains in death.’’

We will forever celebrate you, Pumpkin because you had so much love to give….!

O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?
But thanks be to God which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 15:55).

    Rest in victory Pumpkin!
    See you in Heaven…!!

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized.”
    ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:10-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May Pst Ben be remembered for all his good work & the many lives he has touched! It is to his reward and we pray that many more lives have been touched because of the testimonial of both his private & public life!

May the Lord continue to be with you Mainini, Vimbai & Amaka. There is still more good things ahead of you. May He comfort you at this time. May He continue to give you peace & support.
