On Monday a light went out in this world. A most wonderful man passed away.
I worked for Richard P. Versoi in Minneapolis when he was CFO of Honeywell Information Systems. That was over 30 years ago and his passing still makes me terribly sad.
Mr. Versoi (I never called him Dick, as everyone else did) was the kindest, most fair and smartest boss I ever had. He never talked down to anyone and treated everyone as an equal, no matter what position they held.
He loved his family and spoke of his kids often. He got to know my husband and Don appreciated him just as much as I did.
He never forgot me in Secretary’s Day. Many of the other managers didn’t remember their secretaries but Mr. Versoi saw to it that all of us were included as his guests for lunch on that day at his Country Club. He always treated us as special and we all did our best to return his kindness.
Rest in peace, Mr. Versoi. You were one in a million and I grieve your passing.
My condolences to your entire family.

    Carole,

You echo my sentiments about Dick to a tee. I joined Honeywell Info Systems in 1973 and retired from Bull HN in 1997. In those 24 years I worked closely with Dick, particularly during the early Bull HN years. He was a class act in every sense of the word. We kept in touch through the years with notes on the Christmas cards we exchanged. I know he enjoyed visits to his children and grand children as my wife Charlotte & I enjoy ours. You were all blest with a wonderful father and grand father.

    God Bless,
    Jim & Charlotte Fitzpatrick
