    Farewell my Friend,

I will miss the time we’ve spent together. I treasure our talks after dinner, our projects on the “homestead”, our passions for history and dogs, and our many excursions. You always made me feel like part of the family. You were my mentor, my confidant, my close friend. I will probably never meet a more interesting individual. I am glad to have known you and that you were an integral part of my life. I can see you standing at your door saying good bye to us and as you always said, “Carry On”.
