Paula L. Chechik Of Chelmsford, MA

Paula L. Chechik, of Chelmsford, MA died Monday, February 1, 2021 at Chelmsford Crossings after a period of declining health.
She was married to Howard I. Chechik with whom she would have celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on September 4, 2021.
Born in Fall River, MA on June 17, 1931, Paula was the daughter of the late Samuel Lipsky and Catherine (Ronan) Lipsky. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Fall River with the class of 1949 and New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse at the “Baptist” before retiring to raise her family.
Paula enjoyed painting, ceramics, playing bridge and traveling in the earlier years of their marriage. More important than anything to Paula was her family. She and Howard had the most amazing love story and were truly devoted to each other, never wanting to be far from each other’s side. Together they raised their family in Andover, MA and later moving to Chelmsford. Wherever home was, Mom made it a place filled with love and laughter and a place where lots of family memories were made. Her presence will be deeply missed, but she will always remain in our hearts.
Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by son David Chechik (Julie) of Ipswich, and daughters Lisa Kauhl (Jim) of Windham, NH and Stephanie McElligott (Steven) of Westford, and was a devoted “Mimi” to grandchildren Sam and Paige Kauhl, and Brynn, Cullen, and Teagan McElligott. Paula is also survived by brothers William Lipsky of Venice, FL and Richard Lipsky (Arlene) of Moorpark, CA, and several nieces and nephews. Paula was predeceased by her grandson Ronan McElligott.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Chelmsford Crossings staff for the care and compassion shown to Mom when she needed it most.

Ralph J. Reedy Lifelong resident of Chelmsford, MA

Ralph J. Reedy, 91, lifelong resident of Chelmsford, MA died Monday, February 1, 2021 at his home in Chelmsford.
Born in Chelmsford, MA, he was the son of the late Albert Reedy and Aida (Hemlow) Reedy, and he graduated from Chelmsford High School with the class of 1938.
He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He retired from Raytheon of Bedford, MA in 1994 after 35 years.
He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of N. Chelmsford, MA and was very active with the Church being a Bingo volunteer and Usher. He loved car racing; attending the Indy 500 for forty years.
He is survived by cousins Linda Reedy of Chelmsford, MA, Lewis Phillips and his wife Vicky of Chelmsford, MA and Donald Reedy of Tyngsboro, MA and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Carl Reedy of Chelmsford, MA and Florence of Reiverside, CA.

Savin Phang, 93 of Lowell, MA died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home.
Born in Steung Treng, Cambodia the daughter of the late Phang Kiev and Mao Kiev of Cambodia.
She came to the United States in 1994 and became a US Citizen in 2010.
She was a Midwife in Cambodia.
She enjoyed watching talk shows, travelling and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter Savann Bun and Savath of Lowell, MA, 3 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Sokhorn Kiev and Sao Kiev.

Chhun Nou, 68 of Lowell, MA died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at his home.
Born in Kandal, Cambodia on April 1, 1952.
He came to the USA in 1985 and became a US Citizen.
He retired from Marshals Distribution Center of Woburn.
He enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his sons Samart Nou of Lowell, MA and Sameoun Nou of Lowell, MA, and 3 grandchildren Linka Nou, Tydus Nou and Jayton Nou.
He was the father of the late Samnang Nou who died August 31, 2010.

Helen A. (Rancourt) Breault, 89, of Westford died peacefully Thursday night January 21, 2021 at the Westford House.
She was married to the late Maurice E. Breault who died March 29, 2017.
Born in Lowell she was the daughter of the late Theophile and Aurore (Dufresne) Rancourt. She was a graduate of St. Louis Academy High School of Lowell with the class of 1949.
She was a communicant of St. Catherine Church in Westford.
Helen loved to travel and play board games. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was a proud longtime resident of Westford.
She is survived by her sons, Emile “Butch” and his wife, Robin Breault of Dixon, CA, Paul and his wife, Lori Breault of Westford, David and his wife, Lorraine Breault of Bensalem, PA and Richard and his wife, Gina Breault of Weirsdale, FL; daughters, Denise and her husband, David Chick of Westford and Donna and her husband, Brian Shumaker of Madison Heights, VA; two brothers, Rene and his wife, Rachel Rancourt of Tyngsboro, and Robert Rancourt of Lowell, MA; a sister-in-law, Doris Rancourt of Troy, NY; twelve grandchildren, Amber Gonzalez, Joshua and his wife, Samantha Gonzalez, Michael and his wife, Kristen Breault, Lauren Breault and her fiancé, David Ricard, Amy Breault, Jason and his wife, Amy Breault, Jessica Breault, Becky and her husband, Luke, Coughlan, Nicole and her husband, Ryan Laduke, Jennifer Chick, Kimberly Farmer and Jacob Farmer; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Raymond and his wife, Doris Rancourt, Leo Rancourt, George and his wife, Claire Rancourt and Therese and her husband, Gerald Desrocher, sister-in-law, Shirley Rancourt, and her great granddaughter Makenzie Breault.

Joseph Henes a long time resident of Lowell passed away in Fairhaven Nursing Home on January 21, 2021. Joe was born in Germany on July 3, 1942. He leaves behind a daughter Nicole and children, sisters Hannelore Elliott, Ingrid Moore and brother Herbert Henes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Chhun Huoy Vong, 76 of Tyngsboro, MA died January 21, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA.
Born in Battambang, Cambodia on October 2, 1944 the daughter of the late Tung Ting Vong and Seaving (Wu) Vong, she came to the USA in June 1982 and became a US Citizen on 2004.
She was employed Wang Labs in Lowell and was a seamstress.
She was a member of the Hakka Chinese Association of Quincy.
She loved sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed gardening and shopping.
She is survived by her daughter Sieu Douangvilay and Thoy of Tyngsboro, MA, her sons Jazen Ing of Tyngsboro, MA and Tieu Ing and Ann Le of No. Andover, MA, her sisters Siea Copeland and Albert of Nashua, NH and Chhiv Huoy Vong of Cranston, RI, her brother Kevin Vong and Aimee of Boston, MA, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Michael Ing.

Mr. Methany Sengsoulya, 33, of Nashua, NH died Sunday, Friday January 15, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
He was married to Mrs. Sabrina Onesyvieng.
He was born in Providence, RI, the son of Somphong Sengsoulya and Thone Lepkham of Nashua, NH. Methany graduated Nashua High School and attended Nashua Community College.
He was a delivery driver for UPS.
Methany enjoyed watching football. He was an all-around good guy who enjoyed his family and loved his children.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Preston Vieng Sengsoulya, a daughter, London Skylah Sengsoulya, and a brother, Thony Sengsoulya all of Nashua.

Rene George Cailler, 74, of Nashua, NH died unexpectedly Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Nashua, NH.
He was married to Marie (Rainville) (Bonzagni) Cailler with whom he would have celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on May 15, 2021.
Born in Lowell, he was the son of the late Donald and Lucille (Lamothe) Cailler. He graduated from Lowell Vocational High School with the class of 1965.
He retired from Wang Labs (Lowell) in 1991, as a Research and Development Manager, during his retirement he worked at Lowe’s in Amherst, NH.
He was a former communicant of Ste. Jeanne d’Arc Church of Lowell, MA.
He enjoyed bowling and golfing, but most of all loved spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Lisa and her husband Richard Beaton of Nashua, and Brenda and her husband, Gary Fisher of Pembroke, NH; his stepdaughter, Gina and her husband Adam Kazlousky of Scituate, MA; a sister, Claire Wuolle of Dracut, MA along with his grandchildren Nathan, Trevor, and Kyle Beaton, Nicolas and Samantha Fisher and several nieces and nephews.
He was the husband of the late Linda (Deslauriers) Cailler that passed away in 1986 as well as the brother of the late Raymond Cailler.

Edward K. Jones, Jr. (“E.J./Eddie”) of Nashua, NH

Edward K. Jones, Jr. (“E.J./Eddie”), 47, of Nashua, NH passed away on Friday, January 8th at his home in Nashua.
Born in Danvers, MA, he was the beloved son of Carol Sterling of Nashua, NH and the late Richard Sterling. E.J. was predeceased by his beloved maternal grandparents, Tony and Marie Caico of Lynnfield, MA.
He was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. After graduation, he received his certification as an EMT and worked for local ambulance services and he also worked in real estate as an appraiser. He most recently worked as a roofer and landscaper.
In his free time, he played the guitar and enjoyed cooking. He had a talent for taking ordinary ingredients and making something extraordinary…a talent he learned from his beloved “Papa”. E.J. loved his family, enjoyed family get-togethers and would often bring one of his culinary creations for all to enjoy. The joy he brought to the family will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him,
Besides his mother, he is survived by his uncle Bill Caico and his wife, Mary of Salem, MA and three aunts. Nancy DeBaggis, who was also his Godmother, and her husband, Alex of Mashpee, MA, Mary Peicott and her husband Paul of Danvers, MA and Debbie Toohey of Windham, NH, a great uncle, Mario Caico and his wife, Candy of Florida and a great aunt, Sharon Caico of Lynnfield, MA as well as many cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved Maryjane; while she was not a blood relative to Eddie, he loved her with all of his heart.

Sok Hout of Lowell

Sok Hout, 85, of Lowell, passed away unexpectedly at his home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 12, 2021.
Born in Takeo, Cambodia, he was the son of the late Hout Pich and Kom Pich.
Educated in Cambodia, he came to the United States in 1984 and earned his United States Citizenship in 2006. For many years, he farmed rice in Cambodia but was most remembered for his musical gifts; he played the flute and the tro (Cambodian fiddle) for both family and friends.
He was the sentimental husband of Eng Nget, who passed away in 1999. Sok is survived by his children: Sorn Sok and his wife, Mony Sin, of Zeeland, MI; Touch Sok and her husband, Sare Nuth, of Lowell, MA; and Sreyrattana Sok and her husband, Thanda Sin, of Brockton, MA. He is also remembered by 11 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He now joins his seven brothers and his sister in the afterlife.

Lily Phinn, 100 of Billerica, MA died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Westford House, Westford, MA.
She was married to the late George L. Phinn.
Born in Renfrew, Scotland on January 11, 1920 the daughter of the late John Craig and Elizabeth McWilliam.
She was raised in Ohio and moved back to Scotland during the Depression. On June 2, 1962 she moved to the Lowell, MA area and became a US Citizen.
She enjoyed spending time with family and loved trips to the beach.
She is survived by her daughters Lily Largay and Fred of Pinillas Park, FL and Brenda Hendershot of Nashua, NH, grandchildren Rene Ducharme, Patricia Freni and Michelle Cartier,10 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Violet Groat, her nephew Ronald Groat, and granddaughter Brenda Ayotte.

Mr. Sokha Sin, 76, of Lynn, MA died Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
He was married to Mrs. Soeuy Mok for 53 years.
He was born in Kampong Cham, Cambodia, the son of the late Soun Sin & Dy Ein.
He was a taxi driver in Cambodia, before coming to the United States in 2010. He became a U.S. Citizen in 2019.
He enjoyed fishing and was an inventor.
Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Buntha Sin and Bunthol Sin, both of Cambodia, Bunthon Sin and Bunreth Sin, both of New Zealand; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pholly & Sam Pao of Lynn, MA, and Phalla & Fernando Soto of Lawrence, MA; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Jeanne graduated from Sacred Heart High School with the class of 1953 and earned her associates degree in nursing to become an R.N. she worked for many years at St. John’s Hospital and retired from Companion Care Commonwealth Nursing.
She was an active parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in North Chelmsford.
In her free time she volunteered for the YMCA food kitchen, loved listening to country music, travelling, camping and loved being around animals.
She was the wife of the late Robert Diette, who passed away in 2005, the mother of the late Douglas Diette and was predeceased by her eight brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Diette is survived by her children Kenneth Diette of Westford, Michael Diette of Plainville, MA. and Gregory Diette of Westford, three grandchildren, Michael Magoon, Ryan Diette and Celina Diette, and one great granddaughter, Isabella Gomez .

Beverly Claire Merrill Longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA

Beverly Claire Merrill, 87, a longtime resident of Chelmsford, MA passed away peacefully on Friday January 8, 2021, at Willow Manor, Lowell, MA. She was born March 26, 1933 to the late James and Marie (Boudreau) Morris of Billerica, MA. She graduated from Howe High School of Billerica with the class of 1951. During her lifetime, Beverly was employed with Raytheon of Andover, MA where she met her husband Russell. She was a member of the Congregational Church of North Chelmsford, MA.
Beverly was boundless in her generosity, kindness to others, and love of life. Her greatest joy was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters-in-law, and her many close friends. She loved her time with her family, weekends away with Russ, socializing with dear friends, every child, bird watching, trying new restaurants, shopping, listening to music, nature walks, and caring for pets and wildlife. Beverly had a special gift for easily making friends; she loved to talk and would strike up a conversation with a stranger who would end up becoming a dear friend. Above all, she was most happy when she was making others happy.
Beverly is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Russell W. Merrill of North Chelmsford, her two daughters and their husbands, Beverly and William Herbert of Merrimack, NH, Kim and John (Jay) Lefebvre of Chelmsford; her son, Scott Merrill and his significant other Deirdre Turner of Atkinson, NH; her three cherished grandchildren Alicia (Lefebvre) Brock-Fisher and her husband Christopher of Chelmsford, William Herbert Jr. and his wife SeAnna of Lowell, and Evan Lefebvre of Dover, NH. She will be missed by her three sisters-in-law; Mary Morris of Methuen, Geraldine (Gerry) Morris of Chelmsford, and Gloria Morris of North Chelmsford, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind lifelong friends Debbie MacElroy and Connie Ridener.
She was the sister of the late Stewart Morris, Darrell Morris and wife Helen, Charles Morris, Courtney “Moose” Morris and wife Linda, Harvey Morris, Whitey Morris, and Gwen Morris. She will also be dearly missed by the surviving families of her husband’s late siblings, Grace (Jones), George, and David Merrill.

Leang Kroeung of Lowell, MA

Leang Kroeung, 82 of Lowell, MA died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Lowell General Hospital, Lowell, MA surrounded by his wife and children.
He was married to Muy Ea with whom he would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this October.
Born in Kandal, Cambodia on October 5, 1938 the son of the late Lai Hourt and Eav Sok.
He came to the United States in September 1985 and became a US Citizen in September 2005.
Leang worked at area restaurants in Burlington, VT.
He was a member of the First United Baptist Church in Lowell, MA.
Leang was a great craftsman, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with all his grandchildren. During his free time he enjoyed watching boxing.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son Kimleng Kroeung and Paula of Lowell, MA, his daughters Neang Diep and Nhut of Lowell, MA, Hing Kroeung and Eh Chhoeun of Nashua, NH, Kimrine Corbin and Andrew of Lowell, MA and Kimberly Kroeung and Ricky Xavapy of Milford, NH, and 15 grandchildren.

Irene A. Shaughnessy of Chelmsford, MA

live streaming funeral home and cremations westford ma 300x200Irene A. Shaughnessy, 86 of Chelmsford, MA passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Belvidere /Bear Mountain Healthcare, Lowell, MA.
She was the loving wife of Robert J. Shaughnessy, who passed away in 1998.
Born in Lowell, MA on May 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Francis P. and Irene J. (Johnson) McMahon. She was a graduate of Lowell High School with the class of 1954.
She worked at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell for over 12 years until 1992. For many years, she was also the loving daycare provider for family and many children who became her family, she loved each and everyone as if they were her own.
She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church of North Chelmsford.
Irene’s greatest joy was her large family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she was so proud of. She loved the beach and spent much of her summer at Old Orchard Beach with her family and friends that became family. She always loved family holidays and celebrations especially St Patrick’s Day which was one of her favorite holidays. She enjoyed playing Bingo at St. Williams Church in Tewksbury with her sister Esther, scratching tickets and playing keno with her late twin sister Shirley.
Irene is survived by her loving children, Robert Shaughnessy and his wife Calia of Orlando, FL, Thomas Shaughnessy and his wife Dodi of Chelmsford, MA, Patricia and William Rigg, Kathryn and Brian Hayes both of Nashua, NH, Diane Millette and Glen Rivard and Colleen and Dennis Sargent both of Lowell, Ma and Erin Shaughnessy and Daniel Finnegan of Chelmsford, MA.
Also surviving Irene are her 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart. Alissa Anctil and her fiancé Jonathan Malloy and her children Bria and Ryleigh of Nashua NH, Ryan Sargent and his wife Amanda and their children Caleb and Kenley of Green Bay WI, Lindsey Caron and her husband Sean of Nashua NH, Thomas Shaughnessy of Chelmsford, MA, Sarah Rigg and her significant other Jeremy Wolfe and their soon to be born son Mitchell of Nashua NH, Jacob and Derek Millette of Lowell Ma.
Irene is also survived by her sister Esther Peavey of Tewksbury, MA, her brother Robert McMahon of Lowell, Ma, and a sister in law Cindy McMahon of Dracut, MA. along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was the sister of the late Francis McMahon, George McMahon, Gerald McMahon, Beverly Flood, Rita Burk and Shirley Mello.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Belvidere Health Care of Lowell MA, especially Colette Whitney and Daniel Emerson for the compassion and care that they have given to our Mom over the last 15 months.
